Seamless Airport and Airspace Modeling and Simulation
WHAT is AirTOP?AirTOP is a modular software that allow users to assess and improve airport and airspace capacity and complexity by modeling passenger terminal, airside and vehicle movements, creating airspace and air traffic models, simulating controller tasks and more. The software can provide a true terminal to terminal fast time simulation experience.

A true Terminal-to-Terminal Simulation Experience
AirTOP is a modular software, where each module is tied to one of three operational realms; airspace, airport, and decision support. It features an easy-to-use integrated map-based application with full GIS capabilities. The data available in AirTOP can be customizable to a high extent, allowing users to visualize and extract data using built-in reports, or export SQL databases and spreadsheets for further external analysis.
The modular software approach enables organizations to avoid paying for modules and features that would be of no use, resulting in cost savings. Using multiple modules however will allow for a true terminal-to-terminal simulation experience, from the check-in counter in the terminal, the airside operations at the stand, departure (both on the ground and in the TMA/TRACON) airspace, the flight route between airports, and ultimately arrival at the destination.

Modeling and Simulation of Rapid Exit Taxiways
In an effort to improve runway capacity and minimize congestion at Italy’s Costa Smeralda Airport of Olbia, researchers at the University of Cagliari recently utilized Transoft Solutions’ AirTOP software to analyze the feasibility and benefits of Rapid Exit Taxiways. |
Improving Oceanic Coordination
While air traffic operations in the terrestrial portion of the United States National Airspace System are optimized for the highest efficiencies, oceanic operations are unoptimised. With the emergence of space-based ADS-B, Air Traffic Services surveillance is now available in areas where it was not previously provided. OpenSky-Avia conducted a study on the efficiency of oceanic airspace routes using AirTOP. |
Embrace the growth
Long term growth factors such as further globalisation in business and an increase in tourism will outweigh potential disturbances such as an ocassional economic crisis or terrorist attack. Learn how AirTOP's fast-time simulation can help ATC meet the challenges of future air traffic growth with insight provided by modeling and simulation. |
